What are the differences between a Nugget and Target Pillowfort Modular Seating?

I was recently shopping on my Target app when something stopped me in my scroll. Target is now offering a Nugget knock off! It’s significantly cheaper than the Nugget – so I had to dive in to investigate!

The Pillowfort seating includes 2 Trapezoid Cushions and 1 Base Cushion. To compare, the Nugget includes 2 triangular pieces and 2 base cushions.

In addition to having one less piece than the Nugget, the base piece of the Pillowfort is smaller. While nugget rectangular cushions are 33″ x 66″, the pillowfort rectangular cushion is 23.5″ x 47″.

This being said, if you want a small Nugget-like vibe for a smaller room (like a kid’s bedroom) this could be a good fit. It’s more for seating and not for builds – you would need multiples to build anything, at which point $$ wise you should just buy a Nugget.

This would also be great for a baby or small toddler (though Nuggets are great for babies too) if you don’t want to commit to a large Nugget.

The Pillowfort cover is 90% Polyurethane, 10% Polyester. Reviews describe the material as “velvety soft”.
