How to Make Your Halloween Cookie Cake
This Halloween Cookie Cake is not only delicious but also super easy to make. With just a few ingredients, you can create a festive dessert that’s perfect for any Halloween celebration.
Ingredients:
- Refrigerated Sugar Cookie Dough
- Place-and-Bake Halloween Cookies (look for pumpkins, ghosts, or bats!)
- Halloween Sprinkles
- Black Cookie Icing (microwaved for 15 seconds to create a drippy effect)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
STEP 1: Spray the pan
Start by spraying your pan so the cookies don’t stick. I suggest a springform pan (aka cheesecake pan) for easiest removal.
STEP 2: Press the Dough
Press the sugar cookie dough into the bottom of a round cake pan. Push until it becomes one giant cookie.
My kids loved doing this!
STEP 3: Add Sprinkles
Before baking, generously sprinkle your Halloween-themed sprinkles over the sugar cookie layer to add a pop of festive color.
You could also do chocolate chips, M&Ms, or reeses pieces! Whatever you like!
STEP 4: Top with Halloween Cookies
Place the ready-to-bake Halloween cookies on top, gently pressing them into the dough.
STEP 5: Bake
Bake your cookie cake at 350°F for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
STEP 6: Cool Completely
Let the cookie cake cool completely before decorating or before removing from the pan.
STEP 7: Decorate
Here’s where the spooky fun really begins! Use the black cookie icing to create a border around the edge of the cake for an eerie effect.
I microwaved my icing for 15 seconds so it was warm and runny and dripped down the sides of the cake in a creepy way!
You can also add extra sprinkles or even more Halloween-themed decorations to make it extra festive.
This Halloween Cookie Cake is sure to be a hit at any spooky celebration. Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party, trick-or-treating at home, or simply enjoying the holiday, this easy-to-make dessert will add a festive and fun vibe to your gathering.
Grab your sugar cookie dough, Halloween cookies, and spooky decorations, and get ready to make Halloween a little sweeter with this festive cookie cake. It’s simple, delicious, and the perfect addition to your Halloween fun!
