Looking for fun and funny elf on the shelf ideas? Here’s how to set up an easy zipline for your Elf on the Shelf!
Setting up the Elf on the Shelf can be a LOT of work. Let’s keep it easy by using things you already have on hand that won’t take half an hour to put together!
Today I want to share an Elf set up that was a huge hit with my kids – the elf zipline!
Elf on the Shelf Zipline
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 15 minutes
What you need:
- Elf on the Shelf
- String or twine
- Scissors
- Rubber band (I love the mini ones for little girls hair but any small band will do)
- Somewhere to string the elf between
What you do:
- Choose where you want your zipline to go between. You need 1 places to tie onto, and remember – you want it to be visible but high enough that it is out of your way.
- Tie the ends of your string to these 2 points so it is taught. Trim excess twine.
- Place your elf’s hands over the string. Use rubber band to fasten their hands together tightly.
- Position them to your liking. We’ve done him right side up or upside down!
You can also attach your elf (with rubber bands ) to a candy cane and hang them from the hook on the rope. I had a hard time making that stable and found it best to hang Gumdrop directly from the rope!
