Setting up the Elf on the Shelf can be a LOT of work. Let’s keep it easy by using things you already have on hand that won’t take half an hour to put together!

Since the elf comes overnight, ours loves to bring breakfast items! Today he brought donuts with the theme – do you want to build a snowman?!

Super simple to put together, a practical, junk-free gift idea, and super fun for the kiddos!

This was simple enough to do on a school day and the kids enjoyed it but weren’t delayed in the morning – a win-win!

Elf on the Shelf – Do you want to build a snowman donuts!

Difficulty: Easy

Time: 5 minutes

What you need:

• Elf on the Shelf
• Powdered donuts
• M&Ms
• Plates
• Piece of paper
• Marker, pen, crayon, etc

What you do:

1. Set up your elf in the kitchen area
2. Fold your paper in half and set it up like a tent. On one side in big letters write, DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN?!
3. Add 3 donuts to a plate in a snowman design. Add M&Ms for eyes, nose, buttons.
4. Set out the bag of donuts + m&ms for kids to make their own!

We paired this setup with our elf, Gumdrop, in a snowman suit! I got the snowman suit in this elf costume set and it was so silly and an extra touch of fun!
