Looking for fun and funny elf on the shelf ideas? Here’s how to set up an easy Elf on the Shelf riding a car balloon idea!
Setting up the Elf on the Shelf can be a LOT of work. Let’s keep it easy by using things you already have on hand that won’t take half an hour to put together!
I have been enjoying using our Elf on the Shelf kit this year and really loved this idea – elf riding a car!
Once you get a car balloon, it’s so easy to do!
But why stop there? Why not riding a shark balloon? Or an airplane balloon? Head to your grocery store, see what they have, and set it up! So fun!
Elf on the Shelf – Riding a car balloon
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 5 minutes
What you need:
- Elf on the Shelf
- Car balloon
- Double sided tape or sticky dot
- Scissors
- Clear or thin string
What you do:
- Inflate your car balloon
- Choose somewhere to hang the balloon – such as from a chandelier.
- Tie string on to at least 2 points on the balloon and hang evenly.
- Tie a loop of string on to the elf, position him on the balloon car, and tie him on to the chandelier as well.
- Use double sided tape or sticky dots to get him to stick in the right position on the balloon.
This was so cute and easy to set up! Blowing up the balloon takes the longest!
Happy elfing around!
