Year Cheer Holiday Subscription Box Review

What is a Year Cheer subscription box?

The Year Cheer box is a holiday-based subscription box that includes lots of things for kids to use to celebrate the holidays.

Each box includes ways to decorate, connect, and have fun. The boxes are designed to be used by kids age 3-10.

What comes in a Year Cheer box?

This is the Thanksgiving box! It included:

  • Thanksgiving picture book
  • Pass the pumpkin (stuffed pumpkin that plays music to play hot potato)
  • Turkey topple (wooden turkeys for stacking or playing dominoes)
  • Wooden turkeys with markers to color
  • Felt leaf and letter kit to make a THANKFUL banner
  • Gratitude pumpkin - paper mache pumpkin to write what you are thankful for on
  • Thanksgiving conversation starter cards (super cute and funny and kid-appropriate)
  • Small wooden easel with Thanksgiving art cards

What I love about the YearCheer box

I was honestly a bit skeptical about this box. I have gotten a LOT of subscription boxes in the past, and due to the fact that they involve shipping in a cardboard box, it's usually a lot of small stuff.

I don't know about you, but the last thing that I need is more small kids stuff in my house!

However, YearCheer surprised me. It's full of small items - but each item actually has an activity to go with it.

So, it's not just a stuffed pumpkin, but a hot potato game to play with his grandmas after Thanksgiving lunch.

Not just a thankful banner but a kit easy enough for my 3 year old to string up and proudly display.

I LOVE the activity portion of the box and think that having planned activities with cute props

How much does a Year Cheer box cost? Is it a good value?

Year Cheer boxes are $50 each, and get slightly cheaper if you buy bundles for several holidays or a full year (8 boxes).

Now, what do I think of the value? You get a lot of really cute items, so in that way it's great.

But, the real value is the planning and the activities. As a parent or caregiver, you could go out and buy similar items for less than $50 total.

But, that would involve research, planning activities, and going out and buying the items.

Where I really see the value in these boxes is that they are not just things - but planned, on-theme activities that your kids can immediately open and start doing with little to no effort on your part.

As a parent, there's a lot going on during the holidays. This makes planning cute crafts and activities one less thing to stress about.

Should I get a YearCheer activity box?
