Looking for a holiday gift for a tween girl who loves beauty? See why Gui Gui Slime combines beauty-inspired fun with creative slime play.
This post is sponsored by Gui Gui and Moose Toys. All opinions and experiences are my own.
There comes an age when the โlittle kidโ gifts start feeling a little too little kid for your daughter, but youโre also not quite ready to hand over a Sephora gift card.
Thatโs what caught my attention about Gui Gui Slime. It takes something kids already love - slime - and gives it a beauty-inspired twist with tools, scents, charms, sparkle, and a five-step โbeautifyingโ routine that lets them customize their slime as they play.
Itโs completely natural for girls to start getting interested in beauty and skincare as they get older. I know I was interested in makeup from a young age, and todayโs kids are exposed to beauty trends through social media and YouTube more than ever.
But being interested in beauty doesnโt necessarily mean theyโre ready for a full-blown skincare routine.
Especially around the holidays, I still want to give kids gifts they can actually play with; something that lets them get creative, use their hands, and have an experience instead of just adding another โthingโ to their wish list.
My daughter Rory is six, so sheโs younger than the tween age group this gift is geared toward, but we tried Gui Gui together. Iโm sharing what she actually thought of it as a kid, along with my perspective as a mom on why I can see it appealing to older girls, too.
That combination of beauty and hands-on play is what made Gui Gui stand out to me. For girls who are interested in beauty but aren't necessarily ready for traditional makeup or skincare, a beauty-inspired creative toy can be a really fun middle ground.

What Are the Best Beauty-Inspired Gifts for Tween Girls?
Beauty-inspired gifts don't have to be actual makeup or skincare. There are toys that involve customizing, mixing, and decorating that capture the feeling of beauty routines while still being age-appropriate play!
Gui Gui is a great example of that beauty-inspired toy.
The Gui Gui Mega Slime Haul is an epic 50-piece slime kit that gets girls excited to craft and create, while feeling like a mix between beauty and crafting.

What Is Gui Gui Slime?
Gui Gui makes beauty-inspired slime that combines traditional slime play with a step-by-step โbeautifyingโ process.
Gui Gui is more than just opening a container of slime and playing with it. Each slime becomes its own little activity as kids work through the beautifying process, adding boosters, decorations, charms and other details to customize it and make it their own.
Weโve done plenty of sensory activities like homemade cloud dough, so Rory was especially excited to try all four slime textures.
We tried the Gui Gui Mega Slime Haul, which takes that whole experience and packs it into one big set with four different types of slime and tons of ways to customize them.

What Comes in the Gui Gui Mega Slime Haul?
This Mega Slime Haul is a 50-piece set that includes 5 slimes, 2 beauty-inspired tools,
It includes four signature slime textures:
- Cloud
- Clear
- Butter
- Jelli
and an exclusive mini slime!
There are also lots of decorations and boosters lincluding:
- pom poms
- sequins
- colored slime boosters
- beads
- crunchy glitter
- 4 collectible mini figures
- and more!

How Do You Beautify Gui Gui Slime?
So what does beautifying your slime actually mean? Kids get to decorate and upgrade their slime using tools that are similar to what you use for skincare and beauty!
The two tools included in this kit resemble a jade roller and a gua sha. These are easily recognizable skincare tools that tweens are likely to know. But, now they get to use them in a creative, crafty setting.

For each slime, you reveal the base slime and get to check out the texture. Then, you mix in a booster that adds color or design. Next, you decorate by adding small items that add texture and fun to the mix. Finally, you reveal the mini figure and place it in the slime, too!
Rory LOVED this entire process. There were outlined steps - so it didn't feel overwhelming or confusing at all. But, the elements left plenty of room for creativity and play.
There is so much slime in this kit - we did it all at once, but you could absolutely spread out the reveals over several days! It really felt like a full experience with all of the extras.

Beauty-Inspired Gifts That Still Let Girls Be Kids
I really love the concept and execution of this slime kit. It is so true that kids are growing up faster than ever these days. If your daughter is asking for skin care that's not a bad thing. She's probably hearing about it from her friends and online. But I love any chance to encourage play in a way that still feels cool and age-appropriate.
The Gui Gui Mega Slime Haul hits the nail on the head with feeling really cool and trendy, but still being fundamentally creative play.
Mixing, decorating, scents, and sparkle give them that beauty-routine experience while still feeling really fun.

Rory has always loved beauty-inspired play - we even set up a whole beauty boutique at her princess birthday party.
Of course my daughter is only six, but she really enjoyed the whole thing. I can absolutely see this kit appealing to tween girls who are interested in beauty, but still really enjoy crafting and other creative activities.

Why Gui Gui Slime Is a Fun Holiday Gift for Girls
This Gui Gui slime kit makes the perfect holiday gift. I love that kids can open it up and start playing right away. It's really more of an experience than simply opening a toy.
There's so many pieces to discover, textures to explore, and customization elements. The beauty theme really makes it feel different and a little more grown-up from regular slime. It's a great unique gift idea!
