Just like our shamrock and heart-shaped cinnamon rolls, these start with a can of store-bought cinnamon rolls and take just a few extra minutes to shape before baking!

How to make bunny cinnamon rolls

Here's how easy these are to make, even on busy mornings!

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with included icing)
  • Chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips
  • Optional: candy eyeballs

How to Make Bunny Cinnamon Rolls:

  1. Preheat your oven according to the package instructions.
  2. Unroll each cinnamon roll about ⅓ of the way, leaving the main circle intact. This will form the bunny's face.
  3. Shape the ears by cutting the unrolled portion in half and bending each strip into a loop to make two bunny ears. Press gently so they hold their shape.
  4. Bake as directed on the can (usually 350°F for about 13–17 minutes, but check your package!).
  5. Frost your bunnies once they come out of the oven—while still warm but not piping hot.
  6. Decorate the faces:
    • Use two chocolate chips for the eyes (mini chips work too).
    • Add a mini chocolate chip or sprinkle for the nose.
    • Or try candy eyeballs… just know they sometimes look a little creepy (but the kids still love them, so go with your gut!).

Tips:

  • If the ears separate a little while baking, just squish them back into place when they come out of the oven—no one will notice once they’re frosted!
  • Want to add even more flair? Tint the icing pink or purple for a springy vibe.

These bunny cinnamon rolls are a quick way to make a regular morning feel extra special—no fancy ingredients or skills required.
