How to Make Pilgrim Hat Cookies
These easy cookies come together in minutes — no baking required! They’re great to prep for a crowd or set up as a hands-on craft for kids before Thanksgiving dinner.
Ingredients:
- Fudge Stripe cookies (chocolate side up)
- Peanut butter (or icing, if you prefer)
- Miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- Reese’s Pieces or M&Ms (for the “buckle”)

Instructions:
Here’s how to make these cute and delicious Pilgrim Hat Cookies.

STEP 1: Prep the Base
Place one Fudge Stripe cookie upside down on a plate, with the chocolate-coated side facing up. This will be the brim of your hat.
STEP 2: Add Peanut Butter or Icing
Spoon or pipe a small circle of peanut butter (or icing) into the center of the cookie. Peanut butter gives the best flavor, but icing works too!
STEP 3: Build the Hat
Press a miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup into the peanut butter or icing — upside down. The slanted sides should taper inward, giving that classic pilgrim hat shape.

STEP 4: Add the Buckle
Use a dab of peanut butter or icing to attach a Reese’s Piece or M&M to the front of the hat as the buckle.

And that’s it! These cute little hats come together in just a few minutes.
These Pilgrim Hat Cookies are a simple and fun Thanksgiving activity for kids — and they’re tasty enough that adults will love them too!

They make adorable place settings, dessert table decorations, or party treats for school or home gatherings.
