Super Easy Rapunzel Hair Centerpiece

This super easy Rapunzel hair centerpiece is the perfect touch for a princess birthday party. It’s quick, inexpensive, and so much fun to make!

For my daughter’s 5th birthday, we went all in on a Disney princess theme.

Rapunzel is her absolute favorite, so I knew we needed something “Tangled”-inspired for the party.

I kept the rest of the decor simple, but this braided Rapunzel hair centerpiece totally stole the show on the craft/snack table.

It was fun, easy, and cost just a few dollars to make!

Steps to make:

STEP 1: Unroll the tablecloths
Unfold each tablecloth just enough so they make long strips — don’t open them up all the way.

STEP 2: Stack and secure
Lay the three strips on top of each other. Gather one end and secure it tightly with a rubber band.

STEP 3: Anchor and braid
To make braiding easier, I stuck the rubber-banded end in a drawer to hold it in place.
Braid the strips together, pulling evenly so you don’t get loose or tight spots.
It feels a little awkward at first, but it gets easier as you go and the strips get shorter.

STEP 4: Finish and cover
When you reach the end, secure it with another rubber band.
Tie a small bow with yellow ribbon over each rubber band to cover them.

STEP 5: Fluff the braid
Lay your braid out on the table and gently tug at the edges to give it a fuller, fluffier look.

STEP 6: Add flowers
Clip on your flowers for that perfect Rapunzel touch. If you’re using flowers without clips, hot glue works great.
