Looking for a fun way to commemorate Groundhog Day with your kids? Here’s a super easy Groundhog Day treat for kids!
One of the most interesting things about having kids is re-discovering obscure holidays.
It feels like the school calendar is jam packed with random days that I forgot existed.
One of those days is Groundhog Day (February 2nd, in case you don’t have that burned into your brain!)
You know, the lil groundhog comes up and sees his shadow (or not) and tells us how much longer winter will be?
Maybe it’s because I’ve always lived in the south, but I’ve never been too stressed about winter winding down by the time March gets here.
Anyways, I wanted to do something silly and fun for groundhog day this year – so I decided to make the world’s easiest silly treat. Here it is!
Super easy Groundhog Day Treat for kids
Here’s how to make these simple treats!
Ingredients needed:
- Mini donuts
- Teddy Graham cookies
How to make:
Set out your donuts. They are the groundhog’s burrow.
Take a teddy graham and gently press it into the hole, until it’s secure enough to stand on its own, but still sticking out.
Repeat for each donut!
That’s it – these are SO SIMPLE and I think stinkin cute.
Happy Groundhog day to those who celebrate!
