These Easy Beach Cupcakes are the perfect summer treat, decorated with graham cracker "sand" and blue frosting "waves." Fun to make and delicious to eat, they're great for spring break, summer parties, or any beach-themed celebration!
When I was a kid, my mom always made a beach cake to celebrate the first day of summer. It was a classic sheet cake decorated half beach, half ocean, and my sister and I had the best time helping her decorate it.
I decided to recreate that fun memory, but in cupcake formโbecause my kids are obsessed with cupcakes!

These Easy Beach Cupcakes are the perfect treat for spring break, summer parties, or any time you need a little beachy fun.
Theyโre super simple to make with store-bought frosting and a few fun toppings. Half the cupcakes become a sandy beach, while the other half turn into a blue ocean with gummy bears floating on life rafts.
Theyโre cute, delicious, and guaranteed to be a hit with kids!

How to Make Easy Beach Cupcakes
Start with baked and cooled cupcakesโany flavor works! Then, grab a tub of frosting and a few fun toppings, and youโre ready to decorate.

Ingredients
- 12 cupcakes, baked and cooled
- 1 tub white frosting (buttercream or classic vanilla)
- 4 whole graham crackers
- Blue food coloring
- Airheads Xtremes or Fruit Stripe gum (for beach towels)
- Teddy Grahams
- Paper umbrellas
- Gummy Lifesavers
- Gummy fish or gummy sharks

Instructions
Here how easy they are to make!
Make the Beach Cupcakes
- Place 4 graham crackers in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs.
- Frost half of the cupcakes with plain white frosting from the tub.
- Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the frosted cupcakes to create the "sand." Tap gently with your fingers to help them stick, then shake off the excess over a plate.
- Lay a piece of Airheads Xtremes or a stick of gum on top of each cupcake as a beach towel.
- Place a Teddy Graham on the towel. Add a small dot of frosting underneath if needed to help it stay in place.
- Finish with a paper umbrella to complete the beach scene.

Make the Ocean Cupcakes
- Stir 3-4 drops of blue food coloring into the remaining frosting and mix well.
- Spread the blue frosting over the other half of the cupcakes, using the back of a spoon to create "waves."
- Take a Gummy Lifesaver and pull it over the waist of a Teddy Graham to look like a float.
- Place the Teddy Graham on the cupcake. The ones with arms up look extra cute for this!
- Add a gummy fish or gummy shark to each cupcake to complete the ocean look.

Enjoy!
These Beach Cupcakes are just as fun to make as they are to eat! Whether youโre celebrating spring break, summer vacation, or just a random beach day at home, theyโre the perfect treat to bring a little sunshine to your kitchen.
