Make easy American Flag Sheet Pan Pancakes with strawberries and blueberries for a fun patriotic breakfast! Perfect for the 4th of July, Memorial Day, or feeding a crowd.
If you need an easy patriotic breakfast idea that looks adorable but takes very little effort, these American Flag Sheet Pan Pancakes are SUCH a fun option.
Instead of standing at the stove flipping pancakes forever, you bake one giant pancake in a sheet pan, decorate it with blueberries and strawberries to look like an American flag, then slice and serve.
It’s festive, kid-friendly, and perfect for feeding a crowd during summer holidays like the 4th of July or Memorial Day.
We made this for a patriotic breakfast at home, and the kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. It also pairs perfectly with my Simple American Flag Donut Tray if you’re putting together an easy themed breakfast spread!

American Flag Sheet Pan Pancakes
This recipe is super flexible, so feel free to use your favorite pancake mix or homemade pancake batter recipe. Here’s exactly what I used:
Ingredients
- 2.5 cups Kodiak pancake mix
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- Sliced strawberries
- Whole blueberries
- Cooking spray
Supplies Needed
- 13x18x1-inch sheet pan
- Mixing bowl
- Whisk or spoon
How to Make American Flag Sheet Pan Pancakes
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease a 13x18x1-inch sheet pan well with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Mix the Pancake Batter
In a large bowl, mix together the pancake mix, eggs, milk, and cinnamon.
The cinnamon is optional, but it adds such a cozy flavor and works really well with the berries.
You can absolutely use any pancake mix or homemade pancake recipe you prefer here!

Step 3: Pour Batter into the Pan
Pour the pancake batter evenly into the prepared sheet pan.
Try to spread it evenly so the pancake bakes consistently across the pan.

Step 4: Create the American Flag Design
Use whole blueberries to create the blue “star section” in the upper left corner of the pancake.
Then arrange sliced strawberries in horizontal rows across the rest of the pancake to create the flag stripes.

It doesn’t have to be perfect — once baked and sliced, it looks super festive no matter what!

Step 5: Bake
Bake for about 12 minutes, or until the pancake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cooking time may vary slightly depending on your oven and pancake mix.

Step 6: Slice and Serve
Cut into squares and serve warm with:
- Syrup
- Whipped cream
- Powdered sugar
- Extra berries

Tips for Success
- Grease the pan really well so the pancake releases easily.
- Don’t overthink the flag design — simple works great.
- This is perfect for feeding a crowd because everyone can eat at the same time.
- You can prep the fruit ahead of time to make assembly even faster.

These American Flag Sheet Pan Pancakes are one of those recipes that feels extra fun and festive without actually being complicated.
They’re easy, kid-friendly, great for summer holidays, and so much simpler than making individual pancakes for a crowd. Plus, the giant pancake flag looks SO cute on the breakfast table.
Whether you make these for the 4th of July, Memorial Day, or just a fun summer breakfast, they’re such an easy way to make the day feel a little more special.
