Valentines Day Trail Mix

Published: Jan 30, 2026 by Morgan · This post may contain affiliate links ·

This easy Valentines Day trail mix is the perfect sweet-and-salty snack — festive, colorful, and totally kid-approved!

If you’re looking for something fun to set out for a Valentine’s party or to snack on during a Valentine’s movie night at home, this is it.

This trail mix is always a huge hit, and it’s one of those treats everyone keeps grabbing handfuls of without even realizing it. The strawberry-flavored Cheerios and heart-shaped marshmallows give it a light strawberry sweetness, while the chocolate balances everything out perfectly — sweet, but not overpowering.

It’s simple to make, doesn’t require baking, and is easy to portion into bowls, cups, or little treat bags. And yes… I always end up sneaking more than a few bites myself.

I’ve made versions of this snack mix for lots of holidays over the years, and this Valentine’s version is easily one of our favorites.

Step 2: Melt the chocolate

In a microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips and coconut oil.

Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each round, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.

Step 3: Combine and coat

Pour the melted white chocolate over the cereal mixture. Stir gently but thoroughly until everything is evenly coated.

Step 4: Spread and sprinkle

Spread the mixture out on a parchment-lined baking sheet. While it’s still melty, sprinkle Valentine’s sprinkles evenly over the top.

Let it set completely — you can pop it in the fridge to speed things up if needed.

Step 5: Break and serve!

Once hardened, break the Valentine’s trail mix into chunks and serve.
